HERE’S HOW WE OFFICIALLY HATCHED…
We are a graphic design studio specializing in unique paper goods, branding, and marketing materials. Our artistic style and advertising background combine to help us create timeless, thoughtful pieces. One of the niches we’ve hatched are custom invitations for milestone celebrations that include our hand-drawn artwork. We adore watercolors, pretty paper, vintage postage, and all the details that make up the perfect package.
We worked together for several years at a local ad agency and became fast friends. Amazingly, we discovered our families were also good friends, so we seemed fated to forge a strong creative bond. It was all in the stars! Soon we were dreaming up ideas for our own shop and took the leap in 2005. We set up in a tiny spare bedroom with computers and new business cards and got to work looking for clients. Little did we know, Tenn Hens Design would still be going strong this many years later. We feel incredibly lucky to love what we do every single day.
HAND-DRAWN ILLUSTRATIONS
All of our artwork in watercolor and pen & ink is done in-house. Currier has a joyful style of capturing a personality through her art. Unique illustrations can certainly make a brand feel unique and an event feel bespoke!
How would you describe your style? Currier: I think my artwork is a reflection of my personality and things that make me happy… anything joyful and colorful. My style is whimsical, mixed with clean lines. Where do you find inspiration for a design? Bonnie: All over the place - in nature, in photographs, in travel. I also love textiles and interiors. And we’re always looking in old books and vintage packaging that used great typography.
